polyurethane fireplace

A polyurethane fireplace is a decorative fireplace surround and mantel produced from polyurethane. Instead of a real flame, it is applied to the wall in living rooms and lounges with an electric or bioethanol unit or purely for decoration. Polyurethane is light and is fixed to the wall with mounting adhesive or screws; it resists moisture and impact, will not crack or swell and can be painted. Being lighter than a marble or stone fireplace, it is easy to carry and install and adds no structural load to the wall. The surface can be painted with a marble, wood or solid-colour effect. Because the surround and ornament details are mould-cast, they repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces the fireplace in a range of sizes and styles.
