Polyurethane Rafter

A polyurethane rafter is a decorative element, made of hollow polyurethane, that gives the look of an angled wooden rafter used in a roof or ceiling. It is used to give the ceiling the look of an exposed wooden roof structure and has no load-bearing function. It is preferred in attics, on verandas and on rustic ceilings. The polyurethane is lightweight and is fixed with construction adhesive and a bracket; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or rot and can be painted. Being much lighter than real timber, it is easy to install on high ceilings and needs no insect or moisture maintenance. As it is mould-cast, the wood texture repeats realistically on the surface.
