A balcony railing is a vertical boundary system placed along the edge of a balcony for safety and decoration, made up of a bottom rail, baluster row, top rail and newel elements. It prevents falls at the balcony edge while giving the facade a classic or modern look. A polyurethane balcony railing is lightweight, which makes installation easier on upper floors; it resists moisture and outdoor conditions, does not crack or swell, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Because it is mould-cast, the baluster and rail profiles repeat identically on every piece, producing an even appearance along long railing runs. The system is installed by cladding it over a load-bearing inner structure or with a suitable adhesive and dowel support. Polure produces balcony railings with matching rail, baluster and newel sizes.
