Facade Buttress

A facade buttress is a decorative polyurethane element in an angled support form, placed beneath eaves, cantilevers and balconies on a building's exterior. It gives the facade a load-bearing look and emphasises transition points, serving the same role as console and corbel elements. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied with both construction adhesive and a mechanical connection; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being lighter than stone and wood equivalents, it adds no extra load to the facade and installs faster. Polure casts facade buttresses in different sizes and forms, so the profile detail repeats identically on every piece.
