A decorative floor profile is a polyurethane moulding used to cover the joint between flooring and wall, or the transition between two different floor coverings. It is applied along floor edges as a skirting complement or transition strip and conceals the gaps at the joint. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed directly to the surface near the floor with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, will not crack, swell or peel, and can be painted. Because it is unaffected by moisture, it holds its shape at floor level far longer than wooden profiles. As it is moulded, the profile cross-section is identical in every piece, so the pattern stays continuous where lengths are joined.
