Patterned Polyurethane Border Molding with Classic Relief Details

The P2002B decorative border is an architectural relief molding designed to elevate premium interiors and exterior facades. This classic molding serves as an elegant divider, perfect for creating structured wall panels or defining transitions between different wall treatments. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, it introduces a sense of classical order and grandeur to any space.

This profile features a generous height of 150 mm and a prominent 65 mm projection, supplied in standard lengths of 2400 mm. Manufactured from a rigid, high-density material (150-220 kg/m³), it offers the solid tactile quality of timber without the vulnerability to moisture, rot, or insect damage. With a water absorption rate under 1%, it remains dimensionally stable under fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels, preventing warping or joint separation.

Visually, the P2002B stands out with its ornate central shell motif, flanked by symmetrical acanthus leaf scrolls and delicate floral relief details. The bottom edge is styled with a gentle, undulating scallop wave that breaks the monotony of straight lines, casting beautiful shadows and enhancing the overall depth of the wall paneling. The crispness of the molded details ensures that every leaf and curve remains sharp and visible even after painting.

Perfect for high-end residential and commercial projects, this decorative molding excels as a mid-wall chair rail in dining rooms, hotel lobbies, and executive offices. It is also highly effective as a frieze band on exterior facades when coated with UV-stable finishes. Whether used to frame traditional boiserie panels or to crown a doorway, its architectural proportions bring harmony and scale to large surfaces.

Compared to heavy plaster or moisture-sensitive MDF, this lightweight high-density product is significantly faster and safer to install. The installation process requires clean, dry surfaces, precise 45-degree miter cuts, and the application of a high-quality polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive. For lasting security, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory. The factory-applied primer prepares the surface, though applying an additional primer recommended by your paint manufacturer ensures the best finish for your choice of water-based or synthetic topcoats.
