P1465 Decorative Polyurethane Cornice and Window Surround Profile

The P1465 is a high-performance architectural profile engineered to serve as both a grand interior crown molding and a prominent exterior facade element. Designed for professionals who require structural reliability alongside premium aesthetics, this profile brings a refined sense of scale to any project. Its substantial proportions make it exceptionally effective at bridging transition points on large-scale walls, ceilings, and building envelopes, instantly upgrading the structural character of both contemporary and classical designs.

Manufactured with a high density of 150-220 kg/m³, this rigid polyurethane profile offers the physical resilience and crisp detailing of traditional wood or plaster without the associated weight or vulnerability. Measuring 133 mm in projection, 300 mm in height, and 2400 mm in length, the P1465 features a closed-cell physical structure. This guarantees a water absorption rate of under 1%, ensuring the profile will not rot, swell, warp, or crack when exposed to severe weather conditions, humidity, or temperature extremes, with dimensional stability tested between -20 °C and +70 °C.

Visually, the P1465 profile showcases a sophisticated geometry defined by sharp, multi-stepped top borders that transition into a deep, sweeping classical cove curve, concluding with a clean step at the base. This specific configuration creates prominent shadow lines that enhance the three-dimensional depth of facades and high-ceilinged interiors. The engineered hollow back allows for a lightweight, snug fit over 90-degree structural corners, easily concealing minor surface unevenness while simplifying alignment during installation.

This versatile profile excels in multiple architectural roles. On exterior facades, it functions beautifully as a majestic window and door surround (architrave) or as a horizontal floor-separating belt course that breaks up tall vertical surfaces. Indoors, it serves as an imposing cornice for high-ceilinged spaces such as hotel lobbies, grand ballrooms, luxury villas, and spacious commercial retail interiors, delivering an authoritative finishing touch that standard plaster moldings cannot match.

Installation is straightforward and highly efficient compared to heavy stone or fragile plaster. The process involves preparing a clean, dry substrate, executing precise 45-degree miter cuts, applying polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive along the joints and mounting surfaces, and securing the profile mechanically with screws. The product is delivered with a factory-applied base primer that prepares the surface for coating; however, because paint manufacturers typically require their own specialized primers to honor product warranties, applying an additional primer coat remains optional and at the customer's discretion. For all outdoor applications, finishing with a high-quality, UV-resistant paint is mandatory to prevent discoloration over time.
