classical architectural motif

A classical architectural motif is a decorative ornament unit representing the recurring elements (leaves, scrolls, geometric patterns) found in classical-period buildings. It is used as surface ornamentation on cornices, mouldings, panels, and column capitals. Motifs made from polyurethane are lightweight and, unlike plaster or wood versions, mount directly with construction adhesive. They resist moisture and impact, will not crack or swell, and can be painted. Because they are mould-cast, every detail of the motif repeats with the same clarity on each piece, which keeps the pattern coherent across repeated ornamentation.
