Polyurethane decoration is the method of embellishing interior and exterior surfaces with elements made from polyurethane. Using products such as cornices, door surrounds, columns, borders and ceiling roses on walls, ceilings and facades, a classic or plain appearance is created. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, will not crack, swell or split, and takes paint well. It is lighter and more break-resistant than plaster decoration, and unlike wood it is unaffected by moisture; for this reason it can also be used in bathrooms, kitchens and on facades.
