Polyurethane Pilaster Column Base and Pedestal Model

The P5030BP structural-looking base is engineered to provide a solid, visually grounded foundation for flat wall columns and pilasters. Serving as the essential transition piece between the floor and the vertical column shaft, this architectural element brings structural balance and classical order to premium interior and exterior designs. It is crafted to meet the rigorous demands of modern construction while preserving historical design proportions.

Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane with a density of 150-220 kg/m³, this base offers a robust, wood-like surface hardness while remaining exceptionally lightweight. Its physical dimensions of 49 mm in depth, 340 mm in width, and 555 mm in height make it suitable for medium-to-large scale wall installations. Thanks to its closed-cell composition, the material exhibits a water absorption rate of under 1%, ensuring it will not warp, swell, or decay when exposed to moisture or extreme temperatures, with dimensional stability tested between -20 °C and +70 °C.

Visually, the P5030BP features a sophisticated stepped profile with concentric rectangular recessed framing. The clean, sharp geometric lines create deep shadow contrasts that enhance the dimensional depth of any wall surface. A prominent molded cap sits atop the base to receive the pilaster shaft, while a solid, unadorned plinth block at the bottom ensures a clean termination at the floor line or skirting level.

This versatile architectural base excels in multiple decorative layouts. Indoors, it is frequently utilized to frame grand entrance doors, elevate fireplace surrounds, or anchor decorative wall panel systems in luxury residential living areas, hotel lobbies, and executive offices. Outdoors, it serves as an imposing decorative foundation for villa facades, porticos, and window surrounds, provided it is finished with a protective exterior coating.

Installing the P5030BP is highly efficient compared to heavy plaster or stone alternatives. The lightweight component is mounted using a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive combined with mechanical screws for permanent stability. The surface comes pre-treated with a factory-applied primer that optimizes coating adhesion. However, because paint manufacturers only guarantee performance when their own system primers are applied, an additional primer coat remains optional and is at the discretion of the installer.
