ceiling moulding

A ceiling moulding is a polyurethane profile element that creates a decorative line at the ceiling edge and across the surface. It is used to emphasise the ceiling-to-wall junction and to build frame and panel layouts on the ceiling. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. Compared with timber moulding it does not rot and is moisture-resistant, and compared with plaster it is lighter and more resistant to breakage. Because it is mould-cast, the cross-section stays constant, and pieces are joined to form a continuous line. Polure produces ceiling mouldings in various widths and profiles.
