Ceiling decoration is the work of ornamenting the ceiling surface with decorative polyurethane elements such as medallions, panels, cornices and trims. It is applied on living room, hallway and entrance ceilings to frame lighting, add pattern to a flat surface and give the space a classic or modern character. Polyurethane elements are lightweight; they are fixed directly to the ceiling with mounting adhesive and need no screws or support. They resist moisture and impact, do not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than a plaster application, the labour and installation are faster, and unlike wood they are unaffected by moisture.
