Polyurethane Wood Effect Ceiling Beam 20x13 cm

The P1981C faux wood beam is designed to introduce the warmth of rustic timber architecture into modern spaces without the structural complications of solid wood. Replicating the natural charm of aged logs, this decorative ceiling element provides an immediate character upgrade to any room. It offers a practical way to achieve deep, textured ceiling grids or single accent rafters in both residential and high-end commercial interiors.

Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane, this profile features a density of 150-220 kg/m³, offering a sturdy, impact-resistant surface that closely mimics the hardness of real wood while remaining incredibly lightweight. Measuring 200 mm in width, 125 mm in height, and 3000 mm in length, the beam spans large ceiling areas effortlessly. Its closed-cell structure ensures a water absorption rate of under 1%, preventing rot, decay, and insect damage over time, while maintaining high dimensional stability within temperatures ranging from -20 °C / +70 °C.

The visual surface of the P1981C is molded from real aged timber, capturing authentic wood knots, deep linear grain patterns, and realistic growth rings on its cross-sections. This high-fidelity detailing makes it virtually indistinguishable from genuine timber once installed and painted. Unlike natural wood, which is prone to splitting, checking, and twisting as it dries, this synthetic alternative retains its shape and structural integrity indefinitely.

This hollow U-shaped beam is highly versatile, making it ideal for cozying up high ceilings in rustic living rooms, alpine-style mountain chalets, country kitchens, and hotel lobbies. Beyond its decorative purpose, the hollow interior acts as an elegant concealment channel for unsightly electrical conduits, media cables, or structural metal supports, allowing for seamless integration of spotlights or hidden LED tracks.

Installation is straightforward and far less labor-intensive than mounting heavy timber. The beam is secured using polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive along its contact edges and reinforced with mechanical screws for permanent safety. The product arrives with a factory-applied primer that prepares the surface for final coating. While this factory layer aids paint adhesion, applying an additional primer is optional and remains at the discretion of the installer, depending on the specific warranty guidelines of the chosen paint brand.
