Polyurethane Faux Wood Beam Rustic Ceiling Rafter Model

The P1981L polyurethane faux wood beam is an outstanding architectural element designed to bring the organic warmth and character of rustic timber to modern and traditional interiors. Crafted to replicate aged structural logs, this decorative beam reduces the weight, structural stress, and decay issues associated with natural wood. It serves as a perfect solution for designers and architects seeking to introduce depth and texture to residential ceilings, commercial venues, and outdoor spaces.

Engineered from premium rigid polyurethane with a density of 150-220 kg/m³, this beam offers wood-like surface hardness while remaining exceptionally lightweight. With dimensions of 75 mm in width, 3000 mm in length, and 157 mm in height, it provides a substantial visual presence without overloading the ceiling structure. Its closed-cell composition ensures water absorption remains under 1%, making it moisture-resistant and helping resist warping, rot, and insect infestations.

Aesthetically, the P1981L model stands out with its deeply embossed surface, featuring realistic wood grains, weathered knots, and a hand-hewn rustic relief texture. This detailed craftsmanship ensures it is virtually indistinguishable from real timber once installed. The product is supplied with a factory-applied primer coat, ready for finishing. While it is prepared for water-based or synthetic paints, applying an additional primer recommended by your paint manufacturer is optional and remains at the installer's discretion.

This versatile beam is highly recommended for living rooms, country-style kitchens, covered verandas, hotel lobbies, and themed restaurants. Its hollowed profile is particularly useful for hiding unsightly structural elements, electrical conduits, or ambient LED lighting systems. When coated with a UV-resistant exterior paint, it can also be safely utilized on exterior facades to create traditional mock-Tudor or alpine architectural styles.

Installation is straightforward and far less labor-intensive than working with real wood or heavy plaster. The beam can be easily cut with standard hand saws and mounted using a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive combined with mechanical screws for permanent security. Once mounted, seams and screw holes are filled with joint compound, sanded with 180-220 grit paper, and painted to achieve a flawless, integrated timber look.
