decorative arched surround
A decorative arched surround is the curved polyurethane element that frames the top of a window or door opening in an arc. In arched windows and entrance openings it is mounted on the facade together with straight surrounds to complete the upper curve. The polyurethane is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and is paintable. On the facade it does not absorb water and, being lighter than plaster or stone equivalents, it makes curved installation easier. Because it is mould-cast, the arch radius and profile cross-section stay standard. Polure produces decorative arched surrounds in a range of radius and profile options.
