Polyurethane Curved Arch Moulding Profile P1456D307VI

This large-scale curved architectural profile is engineered to create elegant arched transitions, framing grand doorways, windows, and ceiling vaults with classical precision. It elevates standard flat transitions into sophisticated architectural features, offering a premium alternative to traditional plaster or wood trim.

Measuring 493 mm in height, 2041 mm in length, and 137 mm in depth, this heavy-duty arch segment is crafted from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³). Despite its substantial visual presence and wood-like surface hardness, it remains remarkably lightweight, preventing structural strain on interior walls or exterior facades. Its closed-cell composition ensures low water absorption (below 1%), making it suitable for humid areas and resistant to rot.

Visually, the profile displays a refined stepped geometry with a soft cove transition, mimicking traditional plaster craftsmanship. The smooth, pre-primed white surface features crisp lines that capture light beautifully, adding depth to curved ceiling perimeters or arched entryways. This specific radius is optimized for grand proportions, ensuring a seamless flow in neoclassical or contemporary luxury spaces.

Ideal for both interior and exterior applications, this curved molding excels in high-traffic commercial spaces like hotel lobbies, luxury restaurants, and private villas. Use it to frame arched passage zones between rooms, create majestic window surrounds on facades, or construct decorative ceiling domes. When used outdoors, applying a UV-resistant topcoat is mandatory to protect the material from discoloration.

Installing this profile is significantly faster and safer than working with heavy plaster or moisture-sensitive MDF. The installation requires a clean, dry surface, precise joints, and secure fastening. Use a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive for bonding, coupled with mechanical screws for permanent stability. After filling screw holes with exterior-grade putty and sanding, the factory-applied primer prepares the surface for painting. Note that while the factory primer readies the product, an additional primer coat may be recommended by your paint manufacturer for full warranty coverage.
