Decorative Polyurethane Archway with Rococo Shell Pediment

The P1456D95VIA decorative archway is an exceptional architectural element designed to introduce classical grandeur and refined structural framing to premium residential and commercial spaces. By transforming standard door frames, corridors, and window transoms into historic portals, this highly detailed archway serves as a focal point that enhances the spatial rhythm and heightens the overall design value of high-end interiors and facades.

Engineered from high-density rigid PU with a density of 150-220 kg/m³, this architectural component offers a robust, wood-like surface hardness while remaining remarkably lightweight. With structural dimensions of 1350 mm in width, 882 mm in height, and a depth of 267 mm, it provides substantial three-dimensional presence without imposing heavy structural loads. Its closed-cell composition ensures low water absorption (below 1%), making it highly resistant to moisture, swelling, rot, and insect infestation—outperforming both timber and traditional plaster alternatives in longevity and dimensional stability.

Visually, the piece is defined by its sweeping semi-circular profile that culminates in an exquisite, hand-carved style central crown. The pediment features a deeply contoured baroque scallop shell motif, flanked by flowing acanthus leaf scrollwork and a smooth central oval medallion framed by delicate beading. This symmetrical ornamentation captures light beautifully, casting elegant shadows that emphasize the meticulous craftsmanship of classical European architecture.

This versatile archway is highly suited for luxury hotel lobbies, upscale restaurants, custom villas, and historical renovations. It can be used to frame grand entryways, create elegant transitions between living areas, or crown exterior windows. Thanks to its weather-resistant properties, it excels as an outdoor facade ornament when finished with a UV-protective coating, resisting harsh weather cycles without cracking or flaking.

Installation is straightforward and far less labor-intensive than working with heavy gypsum. The lightweight frame is positioned, secured mechanically with screws, and bonded using a high-quality polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive. The pre-primed surface facilitates smooth paint application. While the factory primer prepares the surface, paint manufacturers often require their own proprietary primers for warranty coverage; therefore, an additional primer coat is optional and left to the installer's discretion.
