A wide door casing is a polyurethane window-surround profile with a broad cross-section that creates a wide frame around a door opening. It is used to form a decorative border around the door frame and to emphasise the entrance. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied directly to the wall with mounting adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted to match the wall colour. Despite being broad, it is light compared to a wooden casing, so it installs quickly and adds no extra load to the door frame.
