Polyurethane Facade Moulding and Exterior Cornice P1461

The P1461 is a substantial architectural facade moulding engineered for premium exterior and interior applications. Designed to deliver strong structural definitions, this profile is highly effective for creating prominent rooflines, horizontal floor divisions, or monumental window headers. Its robust composition serves as an excellent alternative to heavy traditional masonry, offering a practical solution for modern and classical building facades.

Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), the profile possesses a hardness comparable to hardwood while remaining exceptionally lightweight. With dimensions of 150 mm in projection, 2400 mm in length, and a commanding 365 mm in height, it is specifically proportioned for large-scale architectural projects. The closed-cell structure ensures that water absorption remains below 1%, making the moulding highly resistant to rot, swelling, decay, and damage from insects or moisture.

Visually, the P1461 features a sophisticated geometric sequence consisting of a multi-tiered stepped base, a broad flat central band, and a sweeping curved crown. This specific profile design creates deep shadow lines that break up monolithic wall surfaces, adding depth and architectural character to flat facades. The surface is delivered with a factory-applied matte white primer. While this layer prepares the surface for coating, the application of an additional primer is optional and should be decided based on the specific warranty guidelines of your chosen paint manufacturer.

This large-profile moulding is ideal for exterior use as a main roof cornice, a horizontal belt course between floors, or a grand pediment above windows and doors on luxury villas, hotels, and historical restoration projects. Indoors, its grand scale makes it perfect as a high-ceiling cornice in grand lobbies, reception halls, or public spaces with ceilings exceeding 3.5 meters, where standard-sized cornices would lose their visual impact.

Compared to heavy concrete or plaster alternatives, the P1461 reduces the structural load on building envelopes and speeds up installation times. It is far more impact-resistant than fragile EPS foam and will not warp, crack, or split like natural timber over time, ensuring a long-lasting and low-maintenance architectural finish.
