Polyurethane Exterior Window and Door Framing Profile

The P1464 is a premium architectural framing profile designed to deliver clean, modern lines for both exterior window surrounds and high-end interior door casings. Engineered to meet the rigorous demands of contemporary European architecture, this profile provides a sharp, geometric frame that elevates building facades and interior transitions. It offers a sophisticated alternative to traditional materials, combining high structural durability with a refined aesthetic appeal.

Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane with a density of 150-220 kg/m³, this profile matches the surface hardness of wood while remaining remarkably lightweight. With dimensions of 97 mm in width, 2400 mm in length, and a substantial 200 mm depth, the P1464 is perfectly proportioned for large-scale window frames and prominent entryways. Its closed-cell structure ensures a water absorption rate of under 1%, making it highly resistant to rotting, warping, or swelling under extreme weather conditions, with dimensional stability tested between -20 °C and +70 °C.

Visually, the P1464 features a bold, stepped geometric face combined with a smart, recessed back profile that facilitates clean alignment and secure mounting. The sharp, right-angled steps create deep, defined shadow lines that accentuate architectural openings, offering a striking transition between the wall and the window or door. This minimalist yet impactful design serves as an ideal bridge between classic structural symmetry and modern architectural simplicity.

This versatile profile is highly adaptable to various design scenarios. On exterior facades, it is commonly utilized to frame expansive windows or as a continuous horizontal belt course to demarcate floors on residential villas and commercial buildings. Indoors, it acts as a grand, deep-profile architrave for wide entryways, high-ceilinged hotel lobbies, or luxury living spaces where standard trims fail to make a significant visual impact.

Compared to heavy plaster, which is prone to cracking and adds significant weight to the building, or fragile EPS foam, which lacks impact resistance, the P1464 is durable, impact-resistant, and easy to install. The installation process involves preparing a clean, dry surface, making precise 45-degree miter cuts, and applying a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive. For safety and permanent stability, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory. Once the joints are filled and sanded, the factory-primed surface is ready for paint. While the factory primer prepares the surface, applying an additional paint-specific primer remains optional based on the chosen paint manufacturer's guidelines.
