Polyurethane Decorative Window Casing and Exterior Molding

The P1470 is a high-density architectural profile engineered to deliver structural depth and refined aesthetics to both modern and classical facades. Designed primarily as an exterior window casing or heavy architrave, this molding acts as a protective and decorative element that defines window and door boundaries. It offers a sophisticated alternative to traditional stone or concrete trims, combining lightweight handling with premium durability.

Manufactured from rigid polyurethane with a density of 150-220 kg/m³, this profile matches the structural hardness of wood while eliminating its organic vulnerabilities. Measuring 108 mm in height, 2400 mm in length, and featuring a deep 150 mm projection, the molding is highly resistant to moisture, boasting a water absorption rate of less than 1%. This closed-cell structure prevents warping, swelling, and cracking, even when exposed to extreme thermal cycles, with dimensional stability tested between -20 °C and +70 °C.

Visually, the P1470 is characterized by its prominent projecting ledge and a classic S-curve profile that tapers into stepped horizontal transitions. This deep 150 mm projection is specifically designed to cast dramatic architectural shadows, enhancing the visual rhythm of flat exterior walls. The surface is factory-coated with a matte white primer, ensuring a uniform and receptive base for final finishing coats.

Ideal for luxury residential villas, commercial facades, and historic restorations, this multi-functional profile excels as a window header, door surround, or mid-floor belt course. Its generous depth also makes it a striking option for grand interior crown moldings in high-ceiling lobbies, restaurants, and premium residential spaces where standard trims fail to make an impact.

For a durable installation, the profile must be secured using polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive combined with mechanical screws to support its projecting weight. The factory primer prepares the surface for topcoats; however, an additional primer layer remains optional based on the specific paint system chosen by the contractor. To ensure long-term UV resistance on exterior applications, finishing with a high-quality exterior paint is required.
