classic facade column

A classic facade column is a traditional architectural element applied vertically to a building's exterior, consisting of a shaft and a capital. It is used around entrances, along balcony edges and across facade surfaces as a vertical element with a decorative or load-bearing appearance. Polyurethane facade columns are lightweight; they add no extra load to the structure and are applied using construction adhesive together with mechanical fixing. The material resists moisture, frost and impact, does not crack, blister or peel and can be painted with exterior paint. Compared with stone or concrete, it installs quickly and is easy to carry. Because it is mould-cast, the shaft fluting and capital details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces classic facade columns in a range of diameters and heights.
