classical facade ornament
Classical facade ornament is the arrangement of a building's exterior by dressing it with classical architectural elements. A symmetrical facade appearance is achieved using surrounds around windows and doors, mouldings and cornices along facade lines, and columns, arches and brackets at entrances and corners. The elements used are mould-cast from exterior-grade polyurethane; the material is lightweight and fixed to the surface with adhesive and dowels. It resists moisture, frost and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being lighter than stone and concrete, it adds no extra load to the facade and speeds installation. Because it is mould-cast, the profiles repeat identically along the facade. Polure produces classical facade ornament elements in a range of sizes and profile options.
