A polyurethane column base is the lowest part of a decorative column that rests on the floor and serves as the supporting foot of the shaft. The base forms a transition and seating profile where the column meets the ground, and it is used as part of a set with the capital and shaft. In entrance, hall and facade arrangements it completes the classical architectural look. The polyurethane base is light, easier to carry than stone or concrete, and applied to the floor with installation adhesive. The material resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or peel, and can be painted, so it can also be used in areas exposed to floor moisture.
