Polyurethane Decorative Pilaster Column Base Model

The P5024B high-density architectural base is engineered to provide a solid, visually commanding foundation for flat wall pilasters. Measuring 70 mm in depth, 285 mm in width, and 650 mm in height, this component delivers a substantial ground presence that anchors vertical decorative columns. It serves as a crucial transition piece, bridging the floor or plinth level with the rising column shaft to establish proper classical proportions in premium architectural designs.

Manufactured from rigid polyurethane (PU) with a density of 150-220 kg/m³, this structural element offers the physical toughness of hardwood while remaining remarkably lightweight. Its closed-cell cellular structure ensures low water absorption (below 1%), making it highly resistant to moisture, swelling, rot, and insect damage. Unlike traditional plaster or concrete, it will not crumble, crack, or chip under impact, ensuring long-term structural integrity in high-traffic zones.

Aesthetically, the P5024B features a sophisticated, symmetrical relief cartouche at its center, showcasing elegant scrollwork framing a faceted diamond motif. This intricate central medallion is balanced by clean, structured side beadings and topped with a refined stepped crowning profile. This combination of rich baroque detailing and structured geometric framing allows it to complement both ornate neoclassical and transitional interior styles.

This versatile component is suitable for both interior and exterior applications. In outdoor settings, it is ideal for framing grand entryway portals, residential villa facades, or veranda columns. Inside, it adds architectural depth to luxury hotel lobbies, reception halls, dining rooms, or can be used as a decorative pedestal framing grand fireplaces and large doorways.

Installation is straightforward and efficient. The component is mounted using a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive—silicone must not be used—and secured mechanically with screws. Joint lines and screw heads are easily filled with standard acrylic filler, sanded smooth, and finished with paint. Its lightweight nature significantly reduces labor costs and installation time compared to heavy stone or cast stone alternatives.
