column footing

A column footing is the polyurethane base piece placed under a column shaft to seat it on the floor. It serves the same function as the column base and is used to emphasise where the column meets the floor. The polyurethane column footing is lightweight and applied with installation adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Being lighter than a stone or gypsum footing, it makes installation easier. Polure produces the column footing in different sizes and profile options matched to the shaft diameter using moulds, with the profile detail repeating identically on every piece.
