Engineered with a closed-cell physical structure, this material has a density rating of 150-220 kg/m³ (production target ~160 kg/m³), yielding a surface hardness comparable to softwood while remaining exceptionally lightweight. This density ensures that the decorative molding resists impact and maintains sharp, crisp detail over its entire service life. Thermally stable, the material operates flawlessly within a temperature range of -100 °C / +80 °C without undergoing thermal deformation, warping, or shrinkage. With a water absorption rate of less than 1%, the closed-cell polymer is virtually impervious to moisture, preventing the rot, swelling, and fungal decay that typically plague timber ornaments in humid climates.

Comparative Material Analysis

When specifying decorative headers for premium commercial or residential developments, architects must weigh the performance of various materials:

• Compared to Gypsum Plaster: Molded rigid foam is significantly lighter, eliminating the need for heavy structural reinforcement. It is highly impact-resistant and will not crack, chip, or crumble during transport or installation.
• Compared to Timber: The synthetic polymer does not warp, twist, or split due to humidity fluctuations. It offers complete resistance to wood-boring insects and does not require continuous sanding or chemical treatments.
• Compared to EPS Styrofoam: Unlike cheap expanded polystyrene, our high-density molded profiles feature a hard, smooth outer skin that accepts fine detailing and withstands physical impacts, making them suitable for low-level touch zones.

Surface Finishing and Paint Compatibility Guidelines

Every Taç profile is delivered from the factory with a pre-applied white primer coat, which is designed to provide an even surface and improve initial paint adhesion. This factory-applied primer is compatible with high-quality water-based acrylic, latex, or synthetic paints. However, because paint formulations vary widely across global markets, paint manufacturers typically do not guarantee adhesion or longevity unless their own proprietary system primers are applied first. Consequently, the application of an additional local primer before final topcoating is an optional step and remains entirely at the customer's discretion. Polure does not warrant third-party paint performance or accept liability for coating failures. For all outdoor installations, the application of a high-quality, UV-resistant exterior paint is mandatory to protect the raw polymer from discoloration caused by solar radiation.
