Facade decoration is the shaping and ornamenting of a building's exterior facade with polyurethane elements such as moulding, cornice, sill, bracket, and column. Framing windows and doors with moulding, emphasising the eave line with cornice, and adding columns and brackets to the facade are part of this work. Because polyurethane decorative elements are light, they apply easily to the facade with mounting adhesive and mechanical fixing; they install faster than stone or concrete and add no extra load to the structure. They resist moisture and impact, do not crack or blister outdoors, and can be coated with exterior paint. As they are mould-produced, the profiles and details repeat identically on every piece.
