door and window surround
A door and window surround is a polyurethane profile element applied to the edges of door and window openings, framing the opening. It is generally used on exterior facades to emphasise the area around windows and doors and to give the opening depth and a classical frame. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. Although it is exposed to rain and moisture on the facade, it does not deteriorate, and because it is far lighter than a stone surround, installation is easy. Since it is mould-cast, the surround profile repeats identically all around the opening. Polure produces door and window surrounds in a range of widths and profile options.
