Polyurethane Decorative Architrave and Cornice Profile

The P1462 is a heavy-duty architectural profile engineered for grand-scale exterior window framing, entrance pediments, and deep cornice applications. Designed for premium residential and commercial facades, this profile offers an outstanding combination of classical aesthetics and structural durability.

Crafted from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), the P1462 matches the surface hardness of softwood while remaining exceptionally lightweight. With dimensions of 184 mm projection, 2400 mm length, and a substantial 437 mm height, this profile is built for large-scale projects. Its closed-cell structure guarantees water absorption of less than 1%, preventing rot, warping, or swelling over time.

Visually, the P1462 showcases a prominent, smooth cove curve that transitions into a clean, stepped lower lip and a flat upper ledge. This neoclassical geometry creates bold shadow lines and adds remarkable depth to any facade or high-ceiling interior lobby.

This versatile profile is highly suited for framing grand windows, creating striking horizontal division bands (belt courses) on multi-story buildings, or serving as a massive crown molding in high-end hotels and villas. Its robust construction ensures it performs exceptionally well in both interior focal points and demanding exterior environments.

Installing the P1462 is highly efficient compared to heavy concrete or fragile plaster alternatives. It requires a clean, dry surface and is mounted using a high-quality polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive combined with mechanical screws for secure anchoring. The factory-applied primer prepares the surface for painting; however, applying an additional primer according to your paint manufacturer's guidelines is recommended for optimal paint adhesion. For outdoor applications, a high-quality, UV-resistant paint is mandatory to protect against solar discoloration.

The P1462 offers architects and builders a reliable, low-maintenance alternative to traditional wood or gypsum trims. It provides a crisp, premium finish that preserves its structural integrity and sharp design lines for decades.
