Polyurethane Semi-Circular Arch Moldings for Doors and Windows

The P1456D95VI is a high-density semi-circular archway trim engineered to bring classic architectural structure to premium residential and commercial projects. Spanning 1350 mm in overall width with a precise 675 mm radius, this half-circle molding provides a perfect frame for doors, arched windows, or interior wall transitions. Its smooth, non-porous surface delivers a clean, modern aesthetic that integrates seamlessly with both traditional and contemporary design schemes.

Manufactured from rigid polyurethane with a density of 150-220 kg/m³, this architectural element offers the physical durability and hardness of hardwood while remaining exceptionally lightweight. Thanks to its advanced closed-cell structure, the material has low water absorption (below 1%), ensuring high resistance to rot, swelling, warping, and insect damage. Its dimensional stability has been tested between -20 °C and +70 °C, making it a reliable choice for long-term installations.

From a design perspective, the P1456D95VI features a stepped, multi-layered profile with subtle concentric ridges that gracefully follow the semi-circular curve. This detail adds depth and shadow lines to flat walls. The product is supplied with a factory-applied primer that prepares the surface for final coating. While this factory primer readies the surface, applying an additional primer is optional and depends on the paint manufacturer's warranty specifications. Polure does not guarantee paint performance, leaving the choice of premium topcoats to the installer.

This versatile arch is highly adaptable for both interior and exterior applications. On exterior facades, it serves as a durable header for arched windows or grand entryways, provided it is finished with a UV-resistant coating to prevent weathering. Internally, it is ideal for framing decorative wall niches, creating open passageways between adjacent rooms, or embellishing custom library shelving and fireplace surrounds.

Compared to traditional gypsum plaster, which is heavy and prone to chipping, or wood, which decays in humid conditions, this lightweight alternative simplifies handling and installation. The process involves precise positioning, applying a high-quality polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive, securing the piece mechanically with screws, and finishing the joints with a flexible acrylic filler before applying the final coats of paint.
