arched window

An arched window is a window opening with a curved arch form at the top and the polyurethane surround arrangement that frames it. On classical and neoclassical facades it is preferred to create a curved upper line different from flat windows. By applying a surround, upper arch profile and keystone around the window, a unified frame is achieved. The polyurethane pieces are lightweight and applied to the facade with mounting adhesive and screws; they resist moisture and impact, do not crack or blister, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being mould-cast, the arch profile repeats identically on all windows. Polure produces suitable surround and arch pieces for arched windows in different span sizes.
