Architectural Capital

An architectural capital is a polyurethane capital piece that sits at the top of a vertical support element such as a column or pilaster and decorates the transition. It is used to finish the connection between the column shaft and the ceiling or arch with a classical or plain ornamentation. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted. Compared with a stone or plaster capital it is far lighter and can be installed by one person. Because it is moulded, the capital details repeat identically on every piece.
