The P5016A pilaster column capital is a high-density architectural element designed to crown flat wall columns, providing a structured, classical transition between the vertical pilaster shaft and the architrave or ceiling. Suitable for both residential and commercial projects, this decorative header offers an authentic relief profile that enhances structural depth on plain walls.

Manufactured from rigid polyurethane with a density of 150-200 kg/m³, this capital delivers a wood-like surface hardness while remaining exceptionally lightweight. With physical dimensions of 305 mm in width, 177 mm in height, and a projection depth of 89 mm, it fits perfectly on standard-sized pilaster shafts. The material is completely waterproof and dimensionally stable, meaning it will not warp, shrink, or crack over time. It comes pre-treated with a factory-applied primer coat, preparing the surface for final painting. Please note that while this factory primer readies the product, paint manufacturers may require their own primer for warranty coverage; thus, applying an additional primer is optional and at the discretion of the installer.

The design of the P5016A model features intricate classical ornamentation. It showcases prominent lateral volutes (scrolls) flanking a central floral rosette, supported by layered, deeply carved acanthus leaf motifs below. This symmetrical composition provides a clean, sharp aesthetic that mimics traditional hand-carved stone or plaster, but without the associated weight and fragility.

This versatile pilaster capital is ideal for framing grand entryways, accentuating fireplace surrounds, decorating hotel lobbies, or defining wall paneling divisions in living rooms and corridors. Because of its weather-resistant properties, it can also be utilized on exterior building facades, porticos, and window surrounds, provided it is coated with a UV-resistant exterior paint to prevent discoloration.

Compared to gypsum plaster or wood, this polyurethane capital is far easier to handle and install. The installation process involves preparing a clean, dry surface, applying a high-quality polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive to the contact faces, and securing the piece mechanically with screws. Once the adhesive cures, screw holes and joints are filled with an appropriate filler, sanded smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper, and coated with two layers of quality paint.
