Classical Polyurethane Pilaster Capital Column Header

The P5060CP is a monumental decorative element designed to crown flat wall columns, bringing the grandeur of classical Greek and Roman architecture to high-end contemporary projects. Featuring an intricate composition of organic motifs, this capital serves as a commanding focal point that instantly elevates the architectural scale of any space. It provides a seamless transition between vertical pilaster shafts and horizontal architraves, making it an indispensable asset for neoclassical designs.

Engineered from premium high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), this structural component offers the physical presence and surface hardness of traditional wood without its inherent vulnerabilities. With substantial dimensions of 1085 mm in width, 840 mm in height, and a 300 mm wall projection, it is perfectly scaled for large-scale interiors and imposing building facades. Its advanced closed-cell structure keeps water absorption below 1%, preventing rot, swelling, or warping, while dimensional stability has been tested between -20 °C and +70 °C.

Visually, the capital showcases deep, multi-layered relief carvings that play beautifully with light and shadow. Symmetrical corner volutes spiral outward with mathematical precision, while lush acanthus leaves rise gracefully from the base, wrapping the core in a display of natural elegance. A central floral rosette anchors the upper face, showcasing the crisp, flawless detailing achievable only through specialized high-pressure molding technologies, far surpassing the rough textures of cast concrete or the fragility of plaster.

This versatile architectural header is ideal for both interior and exterior applications. Indoors, it crowns grand pilasters in double-height luxury living rooms, hotel lobbies, banquet halls, and executive offices. Outdoors, it is heavily utilized to frame majestic main entrances, support decorative porticos, or adorn the pilasters of neoclassical villa facades. When painted with UV-resistant coatings, it withstands harsh outdoor weathering without losing its crisp lines.

Installation is highly efficient compared to heavy stone or plaster alternatives. The lightweight capital is mounted using polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive combined with mandatory mechanical screw fastening to ensure long-term structural safety on the substrate. The factory-applied primer coat prepares the surface for finishing; however, because paint manufacturers do not guarantee performance without their own proprietary base coats, applying an additional primer is optional and remains at the discretion of the installer.
