A polyurethane moulding crown is a wide-profiled finishing element that sits on top of a moulding or profile to crown the surface. It is generally applied at the ceiling-wall junction together with a cornice, or on top of a moulding along the upper wall line, to create a more pronounced finish. Polyurethane is lightweight and applies directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than a plaster crown, it installs easily and quickly at high points. Because it is mould-cast, the profile section and pattern stay consistent along its length.
