A polyurethane pilaster capital is a decorative polyurethane element placed on the top of a pilaster shaft to complete it. It is produced with ornaments suited to classical orders such as Doric, Ionic and Corinthian, and gives the pilaster a top finish. It is used together with the pilaster on facades and interiors. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed directly to the top of the pilaster and the wall with construction adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Being lighter than its stone or plaster equivalents makes installation easier.
