Polyurethane precast is the lightweight equivalent of concrete precast decorative elements, produced from polyurethane material. On facades it replaces cast concrete in exterior architectural elements such as window surrounds, arches, cornices, columns and sills. Concrete precast is heavy and requires extra structural support and a crane, whereas polyurethane precast is light and is applied directly to the wall with construction adhesive and screws. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, does not blister and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Because it is mould-produced, profiles and details repeat identically on every piece, which keeps the facade neatly aligned.
