Decorative Polyurethane Wood Look Beam Support Corbel

The P1981DK1 decorative beam support offers an authentic architectural accent for projects requiring a rustic, historic aesthetic. Designed to replicate heavy, hand-hewn timber corbels, this element brings the warmth of traditional craftsmanship to modern spaces without the structural complications of solid wood. It serves as an impressive visual anchor, seamlessly enhancing the transition between walls and ceiling structures or supporting overhead projections with historical character.

Measuring a substantial 290 mm in width, 345 mm in height, and 920 mm in length, this large-scale bracket makes a bold design statement in any setting. Manufactured from high-density rigid polymer (150-220 kg/m³), it matches the physical hardness of natural softwood while remaining remarkably lightweight. The closed-cell composition ensures less than 1% water absorption, providing outstanding dimensional stability that prevents warping, shrinking, or cracking in temperatures ranging from -20 °C / +70 °C.

Visually, the product boasts an incredibly realistic wood-grain texture. The cut end-grain surfaces display simulated circular growth rings, while the curved profile features deep, weathered fissures characteristic of aged oak or reclaimed timber. This high-fidelity detailing allows designers to capture the genuine essence of historic timber framing, making it ideal for rustic, farmhouse, or mountain lodge interior styles.

This versatile component is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. Internally, it is commonly placed beneath decorative ceiling beams, around fireplace mantels, or as ornamental brackets in wide archways. In commercial settings such as rustic restaurants, boutique hotels, or themed retail spaces, these large brackets create an immediate sense of permanence and heritage. Externally, it provides a striking decorative support under roof overhangs, entrance canopies, or balcony structures, provided it is finished with a UV-resistant coating to protect against sun exposure.

Installation is exceptionally straightforward compared to heavy timber. The lightweight material is mounted using a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive combined with mandatory mechanical screws to guarantee safety. While the factory-applied primer prepares the surface for finishing, applying an additional primer recommended by your paint manufacturer is optional but advised to ensure paint warranties. This modern alternative completely bypasses the rot, pest, and splitting risks associated with natural wood.
