Polyurethane Wood-Look Beam Bracket Corbel P1981CK

The P1981CK is a high-density polyurethane faux wood beam bracket designed to emulate the natural warmth and rustic texture of solid timber corbels. This decorative element serves as an architectural support simulation, perfect for bridging the gap between ceilings and walls or acting as a supporting corbel under mock beams. Unlike authentic wood, which is heavy, prone to cracking, and susceptible to insect damage, this lightweight alternative provides an identical aesthetic with none of the structural or maintenance burdens.

Engineered from rigid polyurethane with a density of 150-220 kg/m³, this bracket measures 132 mm in width, 200 mm in projection, and 177 mm in height. Its compact yet robust dimensions make it highly versatile for various interior scales. The closed-cell structure guarantees a water absorption rate of less than 1%, ensuring it is highly resistant to rot, warping, or swelling in high-humidity environments. Additionally, it remains dimensionally stable across temperatures ranging from -20 °C / +70 °C.

Visually, the P1981CK showcases a hyper-realistic end-grain wood pattern that mimics the rings of a natural log. The outer curve features deep, rustic graining that catches paint finishes beautifully, allowing designers to apply stains or washes that highlight the rich texture. The product is delivered with a factory-applied primer coat, preparing the surface for final painting. While this primer simplifies the process, applying an additional primer tailored to your specific paint brand remains optional to secure manufacturer warranties.

This polyurethane beam bracket is highly suited for both rustic and modern industrial spaces. It can be positioned beneath faux wood ceilings in residential living rooms, cozy restaurants, mountain lodges, or boutique hotels to enhance the authentic timber-frame look. When coated with a UV-resistant exterior paint, it can also be utilized outdoors under roof overhangs, balcony joists, or pergola structures to provide a classic timber-framed cottage appearance.

Installing the P1981CK is remarkably straightforward compared to heavy plaster or solid oak corbels. It is mounted using a high-quality polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive and must be mechanically secured with screws for structural safety. Once the screw holes and joints are filled with exterior-grade putty and sanded with 180-220 grit, the entire assembly can be painted with two coats of water-based or synthetic paint. This ease of installation significantly reduces labor costs and structural loading.
