Polyurethane Decorative Curved Arch Molding Profile

The P2002D187VO is a specialized curved arch molding designed to transition flat walls into soft, welcoming architectural forms. Serving as a premium framing element for arched doorways, rounded windows, and decorative wall niches, this profile brings a refined structural depth to any building project. Its clean, minimalist stepped-wave design complements both contemporary minimalist interiors and classic European architectural styles, making it a highly versatile choice for modern designers.

Engineered with a profile thickness of 37 mm, a span of 1180 mm, and a curve height of 300 mm, this arch molding is manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³). This advanced material provides the structural solidity of wood while remaining lightweight and easy to handle. With a water absorption rate under 1% and dimensional stability tested between -20 °C and +70 °C, it is moisture-resistant and helps resist swelling and thermal cracking, supporting long-term dimensional stability.

Visually, the P2002D187VO features a smooth, double-stepped contour that elegantly plays with light and shadow. The product comes pre-treated with a factory primer coat, preparing the surface for immediate painting. While this factory layer facilitates paint adhesion, we recommend consulting your paint manufacturer regarding an additional primer coat, as paint warranties often depend on specific system applications. It can be coated with any standard water-based or synthetic paint to match your color scheme.

This curved element is ideal for both interior and exterior applications. Indoors, it creates majestic passageways in residential living rooms, hotel foyers, and upscale retail spaces. Outdoors, when finished with a high-quality UV-resistant paint, it transforms standard window and door headers into classical architectural portals, elevating the exterior facade of villas and commercial buildings alike.

Compared to heavy, fragile plaster or moisture-sensitive MDF, this lightweight alternative offers rapid installation and superior durability. For a permanent bond, the arch must be mounted onto a clean, dry surface using a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive and secured mechanically with screws. After mounting, simply fill the joint lines with premium putty, sand gently with 180-220 grit sandpaper, and apply your final paint coats for a seamless, professional finish.
