Paintable polyurethane is a rigid polyurethane material produced with a surface that accepts primer and paint, used in making decorative profiles and ornamentation. It is used in the production of interior and exterior decoration products such as cornices, door and window surrounds, columns, mouldings and motifs. The material is lightweight and is applied directly to the surface with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted any colour. Being lighter than plaster and wood alternatives makes installation easier, it keeps its form in damp environments and does not rot. Because it is mould-cast, the product details repeat identically on every piece. Once painted, a look matching the surfaces in the space is achieved.
