A decorative wall panel is a polyurethane cladding piece applied to the wall surface, carrying a relief pattern or frame profile. It is used on living-room, bedroom and corridor walls to create a panelled look and surface ornamentation. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applies directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. Unlike a wooden panel it is not affected by moisture or insect damage, and it is lighter than plaster. Since it is cast in a mould, the pattern details repeat identically on every piece.
