The P3002 decorative wall panel offers a highly realistic, stacked-stone texture that instantly elevates both interior and exterior surfaces. Designed for premium architectural projects, this panel introduces a rugged yet sophisticated tactile depth to walls, making it an exceptional choice for feature walls, modern facades, and commercial spaces seeking a natural stone aesthetic without the structural weight.
Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), the panel measures 300 mm in height, 950 mm in width, and has a robust 30 mm thickness. This material provides the structural strength of natural wood or stone while remaining incredibly lightweight, minimizing load-bearing concerns. Its closed-cell structure ensures less than 1% water absorption, making it highly resistant to moisture, rot, insects, and decay under various weather conditions.
Visually, the P3002 model replicates the organic, layered layout of split-face slate or ledger stone. The deep reliefs and irregular horizontal stone courses interact beautifully with both natural daylight and artificial architectural lighting, creating dynamic shadow lines. Unlike heavy real stone, this panel can be easily cut, aligned, and installed seamlessly to form continuous, expansive stone walls.
Highly versatile, this cladding is ideal for high-end residential and commercial environments. Inside, it serves as a stunning backdrop for living room TV units, bedroom headboards, fireplaces, hotel lobbies, and restaurant dining areas. Thanks to its superior weather resistance, it is equally suited for exterior facade highlighting, garden walls, and patio backdrops when finished with a UV-resistant coating.
Compared to heavy natural stone or fragile plaster alternatives, the P3002 polyurethane panel ensures rapid, mess-free installation. The process involves preparing a clean, dry surface, applying polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive, and securing the panel mechanically with screws. To ensure a flawless finish, fill joints and screw heads with exterior-grade mastic or filler, sand gently, and apply your preferred topcoat.
Each panel comes pre-treated with a factory-applied primer, preparing the surface for immediate topcoat application. However, because paint manufacturers do not guarantee adhesion without their proprietary primers, applying an additional primer layer remains optional and at the discretion of the installer. Once painted with high-quality water-based or synthetic paints, the panel delivers enduring beauty and easy maintenance.
- The P3002 stone-effect wall panel is exceptionally versatile, designed to enrich both interior and exterior environments
- In residential designs, it serves as an excellent feature wall behind TV consoles, a rustic headboard alternative in bedrooms, or an accent wall in entryways and hallways
- For commercial spaces, it adds texture and prestige to hotel reception areas, office lobbies, and restaurant dining zones
- When used outdoors, this panel is perfect for modern villa facade cladding, entryway accents, and patio decorative walls
- Because it is highly moisture-resistant, it can also be safely installed in spa areas, indoor pool surrounds, and high-humidity zones where natural wood or plaster would degrade
- Start by ensuring the installation surface is clean, dry, and flat
- Measure and cut the P3002 panels using standard woodworking tools
- Apply polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive generously to the back of the panel, then press it firmly onto the wall
- For secure and lasting installation, mechanical fastening with screws is mandatory
- Once the panels are fixed, fill all joints, gaps, and screw heads with a high-quality acrylic filler or exterior-grade mastic
- After drying, sand the filled areas using 180-220 grit sandpaper to achieve a smooth transition
- Finally, apply an optional primer if required by your paint manufacturer, followed by two coats of premium water-based or synthetic paint
- For outdoor installations, utilizing UV-resistant paint is mandatory to prevent discoloration
- Maintaining the P3002 panel is simple and straightforward
- For routine indoor cleaning, gently wipe the surface with a damp cloth or a soft duster to remove accumulated dust
- Avoid using abrasive scrubbing pads or harsh chemical cleaners containing solvents, as these can damage the paint finish
- For outdoor installations, periodic washing with low-pressure water is sufficient to keep the stone texture looking fresh
- We recommend inspecting the paint finish on exterior walls every few years, especially in areas exposed to intense sunlight, to determine if a fresh topcoat is needed to maintain UV protection
Can the P3002 panel be used in wet areas like bathrooms or outdoor facades?
Yes, absolutely. Thanks to its closed-cell rigid polyurethane structure, the P3002 panel has a water absorption rate of less than 1%. This makes it highly resistant to moisture, humidity, and rot, making it perfect for bathrooms, spa areas, and outdoor building facades. For outdoor applications, finishing the panel with a UV-resistant paint is mandatory to protect it from sunlight degradation.
How is the P3002 panel installed, and is a special adhesive required?
Installation is quick and clean. Secure the panels to a dry, flat wall using a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive. To ensure long-term structural safety, mechanical fastening with screws is also mandatory. After mounting, fill the joints and screw holes with mastic, sand them smooth, and paint with your choice of water-based or synthetic paint.
Do I need to apply a primer before painting the panel?
The P3002 panel is delivered with a high-quality factory-applied primer coat that prepares the surface for painting. However, paint manufacturers typically only guarantee their products when their proprietary primers are used first. Therefore, applying an additional primer layer is optional and depends entirely on your preferred paint brand's guidelines.
How does this panel compare to natural stone or plaster alternatives?
Unlike natural stone, which is heavy, expensive, and difficult to install, the P3002 panel is lightweight, easy to cut, and places minimal load on walls. Assess water and moisture exposure using the product technical data, surface finish and installation details.
Can I customize the color of the panel to match my decor?
Yes. The white factory-primed surface is ready to be painted in any color of your choice. You can apply standard water-based acrylic paints, latex, or synthetic topcoats. This allows you to match the stone texture perfectly with your existing interior color scheme or exterior facade design.
