A decorative casing with corbels is a polyurethane framing element in which a door or window casing is used together with corbels placed beneath or at its corners. In classic facades and interiors it is used to frame door and window openings and give a supported appearance. The polyurethane material is light and is fixed with assembly adhesive and screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister and can be painted. Unlike a wood equivalent it is not affected by moisture, and compared with plaster it is lighter and more break-resistant. Because it is moulded, the casing profile and corbel ornament repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces casings with corbels in a range of sizes.
