exterior column
An exterior column is a single vertical polyurethane shaft element used on a building facade for structural or decorative purposes. It is applied alone or together with a capital and base on entrance, balcony, terrace and canopy facades. The polyurethane column is lightweight and fixed with construction adhesive and, where needed, dowels; it resists moisture, rain and outdoor weather, does not crack or blister, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Because it weighs less than stone, concrete and wood, it adds no extra load to the facade, can be carried by one person and installs faster. As it is mould-cast, the shaft profile repeats identically on every piece. Polure produces the exterior column in plain, fluted and classical models and in a range of diameters and heights.
