facade string course

A facade string course is a polyurethane decorative profile that separates storeys horizontally on a building facade and runs the length of it. Applied along window head lines or at floor slab level, it gives the facade a horizontal line and a shadow effect. It is used on building facades and the exterior surfaces of villas and apartment blocks. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed directly to the facade with construction adhesive; it resists moisture, sun and impact, will not crack or blister, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being much lighter than stone or concrete, it makes installation easier on upper floors and adds no extra load to the facade. Since it is mould-cast, the profile section stays the same along the facade. Polure produces string courses in different widths and profile options suited to outdoor use.
