classical facade window surround
A classical facade window surround is a profiled band that wraps around windows and doors on a building facade, framing the opening. It accentuates windows on the facade and provides an orderly look suited to the classical style; the composition is completed by adding an arch and a window sill above. It is mould-cast from exterior-grade polyurethane; the material is lightweight and fixed to the surface with adhesive and dowels. It resists moisture, frost and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being lighter than stone and concrete, it adds no extra load to the facade and speeds installation. Because it is mould-cast, the surround profile repeats identically on all windows. Polure produces the classical facade surround in a range of sizes and profile options.
