classical facade

A classical facade is a facade approach in which the exterior of a building is arranged with classical architectural elements. A symmetrical facade composition is created using surrounds around windows and doors, mouldings and cornices along facade lines, and columns and arches at entrances. These elements are mould-cast from exterior-grade polyurethane; the material is lightweight and applied to the surface with suitable adhesive and dowels. It resists moisture, frost and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being far lighter than stone and concrete, it adds no extra load to the facade and speeds installation. Because it is mould-cast, the profiles repeat identically along the facade. Polure produces classical facade elements in a range of sizes and profile options.
