Decorative Polyurethane Round Arch Pediment with Shell Motif

This premium decorative arch pediment is crafted from high-performance polyurethane to crown your entryways, windows, and transition passages with historical grandeur. Designed to emulate the majestic portals of classical European architecture, this structural ornament instantly elevates standard openings into artistic focal points. Whether used in high-end residential renovations or commercial projects, it introduces a sophisticated architectural rhythm to any space.

Engineered for longevity, this substantial piece measures 1550 mm in width, 982 mm in height, and features a deep 267 mm profile. It is manufactured from rigid, high-density polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), ensuring a wood-like surface hardness while remaining remarkably lightweight. Its closed-cell structure provides low water absorption (below 1%), making it highly resistant to rot, swelling, or insect damage. It maintains its dimensional stability without warping or cracking in temperatures ranging from -20 °C / +70 °C.

The visual centerpiece of this model is an exquisitely detailed baroque scallop shell (coquille) motif at the apex, flanked by symmetrical leaf scrollwork and a central smooth oval medallion. Below this rich ornamentation, the arch sweeps outward in a clean, multi-layered step profile. This transition from intricate central relief to smooth, sweeping curves creates a balanced aesthetic that complements both ornate classical interiors and transitional design schemes.

Perfect for luxury villas, boutique hotels, high-end restaurants, and historic preservation projects, this arch serves as an ideal overdoor pediment or window lintel. It performs exceptionally well on both interior walls and exterior facades. For outdoor applications, finishing the product with a high-quality, UV-resistant exterior paint is mandatory to protect the material from sun-induced discoloration over time.

Compared to heavy gypsum plaster or moisture-sensitive wood, this material offers a stress-free installation process that adds zero structural load to your walls. To install, prepare a clean, dry surface, apply a high-strength polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive (never use silicone), and secure the piece mechanically with screws. After filling the joint lines and screw heads with standard acrylic mastic, sand the surface gently, apply an optional primer coat, and finish with two coats of water-based or synthetic paint.
